CHILDREN'S DAY (Kodomo no hi) 2026: Saturday, May 2nd

CHILDREN'S DAY (Kodomo no hi) 2026: Saturday, May 2nd

Join us for our 4th annual Children's Day (Kodomo no hi) Event in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month!

This event will be co-hosted by our friends, Japanese American Families for Justice. We are so happy to have them back as co-hosts this year.

We will have a variety of local AAPI vendors and participants. Okkon will be serving up okonomiyaki, Mt. Kakigori will be back with their very popular Japanese shave ice, and there will have baked goods from Nekosama. Artisans & creatives Pato Goods, WBA Ceramics, and Kate Chuang from Shine On Studio will also be selling their lovely creations.

We will have a Korean Samulnori performance by Kkiri Kkiri, and Read-a-loud by local children's author Joanna Ho!

Japanese American Families for Justice will be providing an arts & crafts activity for kids (and adults) throughout the day! Stop by their table to learn more about this incredible family-focused org and their social justice work!

This will be a day of celebration, culture, pride and fun! All are welcomed! This is a FREE event.
